hello… sorry for the long vacation actually i been busy with my work and some other part time job, thats why i haven’t got time to add new post. ok now back to our topic on how to remove YM virus. if any of you been receiving link from your friend but when you ask him/her they say that they did’t send it thats mean your friend pc/notebook been infected with ym trojan or maybe alot of friend in your list complain that you been sending them link or spaming link to them then its mean your pc/laptop been infected with this virus.. i maybe have the solution to remove it..but it is not as simple as you thought it is..

the virus symptom

1. It sets your default IE page to nsl-school.org, you can’t even change it back to other page. If you open IE from your comp some malicious code will automatically executed into your computer.

2. It will disables the Task manager / reg edit. So you can’t kill the Trojan process anymore.

3. Files that are gonaa installed by this virus are svhost.exe , svhost32.exe , internat.exe.
You can find these files in windows/ & temp/ directories.

4. It will sends the secured & protected information to attacker

Remove It Manually (Just follow the step below and you’ll be back to your normal activity and save from virus)

1. Close the IE browser. Log out messenger / Remove Internet Cable.

2. To enable Regedit

Click Start, Run and type this command exactly as given below: (better – Copy and paste)

Code: REG add HKCUSoftwareMic*ftWindowsCurrentVersionPoliciesSystem /v DisableRegistryTools /t REG_DWORD /d 0 /f

3. To enable task manager : (To kill the process we need to enable task manager)

Click Start, Run and type this command exactly as given below: (better – Copy and paste)

Code: REG add HKCUSoftwareMic*ftWindowsCurrentVersionPoliciesSystem /v DisableTaskMgr /t REG_DWORD /d 0 /f

4. Now we need to change the default page of IE though regedit.

Start>Run>Regedit

From the below locations in Regedit chage your default home page to hackgyan.com or other

Code: HKEY_CURRENT_USERSOFTWAREMic*ftInternet ExplorerMain
HKEY_ LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMic*ftInternet ExplorerMain
HKEY_USERSDefaultSoftwareMic*ftInternet ExplorerMain

Just replace the attacker site with hackgyan.com or set it to blank page.

5. Now we need to kill the process from back end. For this, Press “Ctrl + Alt + Del”
Kill the process svhost32.exe . ( may be more than one process is running.. check properly)

6. Delete svhost32.exe , svhost.exe files from Windows/ & temp/ directories. Or just search for svhost in your comp.. delete those files.

7. Go to regedit search for svhost and delete all the results you get

8. Restart the computer. Done… hehe

last week my friend call me asking my help to remove a virus infecting his external hard disk and maybe his notebook, so i went to see him to help him with his problem. After finish diagnosis i found that his external hard disk is infected by conflicker.aa virus i guess i cant remember but it is a conflicker virus.. so i search the net for conflicker virus/remover and i found this simple remover tool from microsoft website and the remover software are call malicious software remover tool. i haven’t test it yet with other virus or malware but i do try scan my friend external hard disk it found the virus but then it was late so i ask my friend to scan again in safe mode the next day he inform me that the virus is already removed by this this tool. he was happy with the result because the external hard disk no longer infected so am i cause i manage to help him solve his problem.

Later if i encounter other problem that involve malware i will try to use this tool because i think this tool can do more and will be usefull the nex time i encounter with any computer problem like last time when i found combo fix tool and for 2 1/2 years still using it because it can repair a lot of thing.

p/s : remember if scanning in normal mode still wont solve your problem do go to save mode and try to scan again.

another thing to go to save mode -> restart pc/notebook -> press f8 when the bios load -> you will see some option to enter windows so you can choose any save mode option.

Hello …. first of all i want to ask you if you ever have a problem with opening your drive expecially pen drive?? flash disinfector maybe the cure to your problem. when ever you want to open your pen drive, drive c, or drive d and it will pop up a dialog box saying that you cannot open folder, what you have to do is download the flash disinfector then click flash disinfector icon > click ok and done. this process will only take around 1 or 2 min to execute, scan and clean.

this is another trick for you guys to try….  after changing the firefox setting you can surf faster than before…

ok first of all type about:config at your firefox address bar, where it will take you to firefox setting page,

then scroll down to network lines and change the original setting to the setting below.

1. network.http.max-connections-per-server =32

2. network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-proxy =16

3. network.http.max-connections = 64

4. network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-server = 10

5. network.http.pipelining = true

6. network.http.pipelining.maxrequests = 200

7. network.http.request.max-start-delay = 0

8. network.http.proxy.pipelining = true

9. network.http.proxy.version = 1.

then right-click anywhere and select New- Integer. Name it  nglayout.initialpaint.delay and set its value to 0. This value is the amount of time the browser waits before it acts on information it receives.

whats up guys.. i want to teach you guys on how to increase your internet speed and this is for windows user only.

when you use windows the system is actually build to reserve 20% bandwidth for windows system, and you can change that setting in group policies setting page.this is how you can change the setting :-

first go to start menu at the run box type gpedit.msc and it will show you the group policies page if noting pop up u can type cmd for command promt and at the cmd page just type gpedit.msc and it will bring you to the group policies page.

when the page is open go to administrative templets >>network>>QoS packet scheduler and double click the limit reservable bandwidth icon.

then change the setting from not configures to enable and change the bandwidth limit to 0%. after that click apply & ok

and finish. you can test whether your speed has increase or not.. from what i can see there is a little a bit change for my speed.. or maybe any one have any other method to test and can give a prove result for this i would really appriciate their help..thanks.. i also got this from internet… please care to comment on my post …

Hello guys today i want to introduce inssider a software to check wireless router/access point channel so that you won’t have any problem with your wifi. sometime when you are using the same channel as other wireless router/access point near you house or office you will have conflict or frequencies interfere. so with this software you can check all the other wireless router/access point with in you area and you can change to any channel that haven’t been use by other. you can also use netstumbler to check wifi channel, i used to use netstumbler but after using vista seem that i cannot install the software so i change to inSSIDer, but if you are using windows Xp i think that netstumbler have a better features.

Two WiFi networks operating on the same channel are forced to share bandwidth. In order to evade this effect, you need to change your access point’s channel, but taking the adjacent one won’t do it, as WiFi channels are arranged in an overlapping pattern

Are you having problem to install windows XP to new laptop or pc? cannot detect hard disk? this is actually because all new laptop or pc were installed with new sata hard disk and windows XP do not have sata hard disk driver that’s why when you try to install windows XP, it can’t detect your laptop/pc hard disk.

Do you want to change from windows vista to windows xp? follow this method.

There are 2 method to solve this problem the first one is a bit complicated where you have to use a floppy disk to save the sata driver then when you start to install windows xp press F6 when the screen show that windows is installing driver to your laptop or pc then install driver from floppy after then just proceed with normal installation. Although for laptop they didn’t build floppy any more so you must buy external floppy drive to proceed with this method and this will cost you and i dont think that any one will want to buy floppy any more because nowdays people dont use flopy any more.so you guys should use the second method.

The second method is to use a software call nlite u can just download the software from the link below, using nlite software also will cost you some money but just to buy cd, how it work is when you use the nlite software it will allow you to add up driver to windows software. And what you should do is follow the software instruction download a sata hard disk driver than add up the driver to your windows, then you can just format and install windows like you do always…

I always got problem when i want to download driver expecially now days because of vista, when they start to launch vista alot of company just give driver for vista only this also happen to alot of new notebook what i encounter is that they only have vista driver.Because alot of people still want to use windows xp as a free lance technician it will be a problem to me because i need to find the driver for them, even i am using windows vista but i prefered xp actualy hehe. I just use vista to familiarise with the system so it will be easy for me to trobleshoot if i enconter problem even tho it have its own plus/minus. continue with the driver after spending alot of time to find xp driver where i can only find half of them then i was stuck because i cannot find the rest so i did my search what i found is that there’s another method to find driver.

manual driver search.

actually every driver has their vendor id and device id. It is very simple method just look for the id at device manager. to go to device manager  right click on my computer or computer icon then click properties and click the device manager tab. At device manager click on te unknown device icon check the icon properties or right click at the unknown device and click properties. then go to  detail you will see some thing like this

PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_2A42&SUBSYS_30868086 <— Vga driver

what you see therethe device infi the VEN mean vendor and DEV mean device. what you can see now the vendor 8086 is Id for intel corp, and device id is 2A42, for me i will go search intel website then search for the device id and you will have the driver you seeking for
